Madame,

Alexis Nicolaévitch me charge de dire à Votre Majesté qu'Il ne peut pas écrire aujourd'hui pour les mêmes raisons qu'avant-hier, que c'est ma faute puisque je L'ai fait travailler ce matin et qu'Il embrasse beaucoup beaucoup tout le monde (je transcris exactement la phrase).

La soirée d'hier a été bonne. Il a lu en russe et en français Sa tâche journalière.

Le soir Il était un peu excité, Il a eu de la peine à Se calmer et S'est endormi une demi-heure plus tard que d'habitude. Ce matin le travail a été bon, Il a fait un très long travail pour Monsieur Pétrof et s'est occupé ensuite avec moi.

Sa Santé, grâce à Dieu, continue à être bonne et Il a repris des couleurs.

Malheureusement Il recommence à être imprudent pendant les promenades et n'écoute pas assez Dérévenko. Il a promis d'être plus prudent aujourd'hui.

Alexis Nicolaévitch m'a transmis le message de Votre Majesté et je prie Votre Majesté d'agréer mes très humbles remerciements.

Au moment où j'écris, Alexis Nicolaévitch Se promène avec Sa Majesté au jardin, en attendant le cinématographe qui aura lieu à 4 heures.

Yesterday evening was good. He read in Russian and French, His daily task.

In the evening He was a little excited, He had trouble calming down and fell asleep half an hour later than usual. This morning the work was good. He did a very long work for Mr. Petrov and then got busy with me.

His health, thank God, continues to be good and He has recovered.

Unfortunately, He begins to be imprudent again during walks and does not listen enough to Derevenko. He has promised to be more careful today.

Alexei Nikolaevich transmitted Your Majesty's message to me and I beg Your Majesty to accept my very humble thanks.

As I write, Alexei Nikolaevich is walking with His Majesty in the garden, while waiting for the cinematograph which will take place at 4 o'clock.

En rentrant hier du cinématographe Alexis Nicolaévitch s'est plaint du mal de tête.

Le soir Il avait 37 et un fort rhume de cerveau, les glandes du cou étant légèrement enflammées.

Ce matin Il a saigné un peu du nez, le rhume est toujours très violent, la température 37 comme hier soir.

Ce refroidissement est, je crois, le résultat de Son imprudence. Avant-hier, malgré les recommandations de Dérévenko, Il a profité d'un moment où ce dernier avait quitté la chambre de bain, pour sortir de Sa baignoire et aller dans la chambre à côté qui était beaucoup plus fraîche.

Comme je l'ai écrit à Votre Majesté Dérévenko s'est plaint de ce qu'Alexis Nicolaévitch ne lui obéissait plus ces derniers jours.

Alexis Nicolaévitch qui joue en face de moi pendant que j'écris ces lignes dit que ce sera pour Lui une bonne leçon; espérons-le. Il me charge de dire qu'il embrasse beaucoup Votre Majesté et les Grandes-Duchesses.

This chill is, I believe, the result of His carelessness. The day before yesterday, despite Derevenko's recommendations, He took advantage of a moment when the latter had left the bathroom to get out of His bathtub and go into the next room, which was much cooler.

As I write to Your Majesty, Derevenko has complained that Alexei Nikolaevich has not obeyed him these last few days.

Alexei Nikolaevich, who is playing in front of me while I write these lines, says that it will be a good lesson for Him; let us hope so. He asks me to say that he embraces Your Majesty and the Grand Duchesses very much.

Your Imperial Majesty.

Day 2 was very hot and stuffy, it was so warm that Alexei Nikolaevich was allowed to run along the sand on the bank of the Dnieper barefoot and even go into the water, the t[emperature] of which = 18-19° R. This circumstance gave grounds for Alexei Nikolaievich to ask permission to swim.

Discussing this request, Sergei Petrovich and I came to the conclusion that it could be satisfied on the condition that the day would be clear, warm, without wind, that the t[emperature] of water would not be lower than 19° and that A. N. will sit in the water no more than 5-8' [minutes], and then get dressed and rest in the sun. Our meeting and the results of the meeting do not have the force of law without the sanction of Your Majesty and A. N. was notified of this. He behaves well, and if at times he goes beyond what is permitted, then adults are partly to blame. Yesterday (30/V) in the morning A. N. with his August Father prayed before the Miraculous Icon of the Vladimir Mother of God.

A prayer service was held before the Headquarters in the square. It was raining. After the Prayer, A. N. went running with a wet head as a result, has a cold today. The fact is that in the joint as a result of repeated exudates, lasting changes that can interfere with the functions of the joint are developing.

Как силы, аппетит, самочувствие. Лежит ли на балконе? Все хочется знать. Не знаем куда переедем, но вероятно близко. Погода чудная. Очень устала, сердце увеличено. Живем ничего, скучаем.
