The Tsarskoe Selo Museum Preserve has announced that it will recreate the frames for paintings that originally hung in the interiors of the Alexander Palace, using old photographs and inventory descriptions as references.

They have already finished the frames for the paintings The Annunciation by Susanna Renata Granich and The Madonna and Child by Paul Thumann, both of which hung in the Pallisander Room and will soon return to their places. The frames were made of beech wood, pine wood and ornament with the technique of plastic moulding; and were recreated by Pavel Yankolovich and Svetlana Fedorova of the Rokail workshop.
