Царское Село.
27-го Мая 1916 г.
Здорова Ефрейтер Романов!
Поздравляю в производством! — Душка Ты мой, Ты важный такой теперь! Как уроки идут, читаешь, пишешь иногда? Но Mr. Gibbs будет грустен если все забудешь. Собирали ландыш и незабушки на детском острове и катались в Павловск. Была у Ани в Лазарете, все очень чисто перекрашено очень "апетитно" — есть там новые раненые. Мои фотогр. по пути очень удачно вышли. Заказала еще и пошлю вам потом.

Крепко благодарю Тебя за милую открытку — все раненые очень рады что Папа Тебе дал "Ефрейтера".

Ну прощай мой Ангел, нежно Тебя целую, благословляю +.

Strong Lance Corporal Romanov!
Congratulations on the promotion! — My darling, You are so important now! How are lessons going, are you reading, writing sometimes? But Mr. Gibbs will be sad if you forget everything. We gathered lily-of-the-valley and forget-me-nots on the Children's Island and rode to Pavlovsk. Ania was at the Infirmary, everything is very cleanly redecorated very "appetisingly" — there are new wounded there. My photos along the way came out very well. I also ordered it and will send it to you later.

I thank you very much for the nice postcard — all the wounded are very happy that Papa promoted you to "Lance Corporal."
